    Objectivism is Ayn Rand's philosophy for "living on Earth." It is a philosophy of rational self-interest. With regard to the five main branches of philosophy, it can be summarized as follows:

    • Metaphysics: Reality is objective and existence takes primacy over consciousness.

    • Epistemology: Reality is knowable and reason is Man's means of knowing it.

    • Ethics: Egoism is Man's moral code with each Man's self-interest as his proper goal.

    • Politics: Laissez-faire Capitalism is the only proper and moral social system.
